    Default Turbo header build

Well since the trans is out of the truck and it's all jacked up in the air Thanks to adam and mike for letting me borrow some huge jack stands. I've been redoing the turbo set up. Before the trans mission went I finally got it to build boost quickly without any lag at all really. hopefully this will fix the issue for good.!

first step was to take a $1600 set of headers and cut them apart..

2nd step is a little mock up

After doing some reading and talking with Taylor at Dallas Performance I decided to leave a little pipe exposed in the main log to cause a vac. as the air passes it.

got all the nasty slag and stuff off of it.

More mock up this tube will help create a vac on the front 2 tubes

Welded up "the welds aren't the greatest I think my welders taking a poop on me"

    Bolted on the truck

I'm gonna be finishing it up some time next week. Got a few things to coat so i'll be tied up with that but it should be ready to run before the trans mission is back

nah it needed to be done. and a set of flanges was going to be like 400+ bucks. so I said "screw it" I tried to sell them for half of what they cost and no one bit. and thanks for the kind words I believe this will end all of my lag issues

Few updates got everything build pretty much. except for the exact turbo placement. almost monkeyed up forgetting that the trans mission was not in the truck and the motor is sagging a little bit. but it looks all good now. it's a bitch to get into the truck though

    95% complete

I guess I'm fixing to break down and buy me another welder. I sold my tig a few years back and keep regretting it. so I'm going to be searching for a new one. then i'll be able to make my sheet metal intake manifold! but anyway it's almost done I'm going to be connecting the to sides together with a flex joint and welding them together no Vbands on the hot side. then all i'll have to do is make a new cold side pipe from the turbo to the intercooler.

I bought a Miller Diversion 180 a few years ago that I use on all my projects. The only problem I've had is maxing it out fixing 3/8" aluminum rally car skid plates, but nothing a propane torch and a helium mix couldn't make work. I highly recommend this TIG for hobby use.
