Default Trick Performance Products turbo kit for dodge ram interest

So this morning I spoke with Rick owner of Trick Performance Products about building a front mount turbo kit for the dodge ram platform. They are interested in building the kit but want to know if there is a market for them. So hence this post. They would need a donor truck close to Wichita, Tx. that would get a substantial discount and 5 other trucks to give a deposit to get the ball rolling.
Over the years there have been a few on here that have made similar posts about building and selling kits in their backyard. But seriously no one ever goes through with it.

Depending on fabrication pricing would be similar to the gm market.

This would be like a tuner kit meaning no tuning or injectors etc.
    what you guys think?

I would donate my truck for it but it is a 03 and would be hell to tune. And what kind of a discount

You would be wrong. The tune is so important I can't even explain it.
These transmissions are clutch to clutch. Totally computer controlled.
If you can explain why one truck can run pass after pass in the 12's and the next truck kills transmissions running 13's I'd like to hear it.

Honestly.... A stock transmission "should" hold up to low 12's
Faster then that,,,, it needs a built unit.

Then Denny you'd probably make more money figuring out how to control the transmission instead of building it. Everyone knows they are computer controlled. Nothing new there.
I wonder how one of my built transmissions lasted 6,000 miles with no tune whatsoever and another built transmission lasted me 60,000 miles while being tuned. I maybe wrong, but then again mine is an 04 and there isn't even transmission control available for mine .

But this isn't a transmission post....so please back to the turbo build.

    Actually I'm doing just that.
Currently the pcs controller is the only option. Up until a couple weeks ago the programming lacked definition. Now the shift timing cam be adjusted by the mili second instead of tenths.
    Good times ahead

Sounds promising. I still have mine installed and ready without having time to play with it.

Oh, and turbos are fun. More kits out there the better.
