    Found a shortblock for100....150 to bore and deck it.

    Or 150 to sleeve it. Might as well get the new block

    No biggie, if I can get my lazy ass to work early enough I'll be able to go pick up the new block and drop it off at the machine shop before they close.

    i would have said sleeve it...and save the money...if the shop does it right...sleeving it makes it a new block

    eh, if you found one that cheap then why not a new block, that way if anything ever happens to it, you can sleeve it and not have to worry about finding another new block.

    on a sidenote, i think alot of the LA and magnum parts are interchangable...

    Engine is still at the machine shop.

    The motor was eating pushrods before I owned it, took the heads up there and they said the valve springs were installed way wrong, the springs selected and used needed new seats cut and they tried to use weird washers to make it all work...so they were installed at the improper height and causing bad coil bind=bent pushrods.
    So now the heads need to be reworked, get them cut for the springs and new guides since the old ones were toast, few other "little" things that were unplanned for.

    I was trying to get this thing running for the Lonestar Roundup which was two weekends ago, but since it didnt make that deadline, I'm not rushing anything.
