    Default Turbo Set Up

Anybody running a turbo? I’ll be going with a single 75mm precision 66mm wastegate, 50mm jgs bov and a 29x12x5 intercooler. I plan on running meth and e85 with stock internals and keeping the 5 speed as long as I can lol. Will keep this thread updated as progress is made on my truck

    Tuned with HPTuners.

Nice. Your definitely on the right track. What milometer size is the exhaust turbine? T4 or T6 flange?

Once you've gone boosted, you'll never want to go back.

I love beating up on diesel trucks with my quiet exhaust sound and stock engine block...

Haha sounds nice man. It’s a t6 flange and 96mm exhaust turbine.

The 96mm exhaust turbine sounds a little big for a 5.7 Hemi? I'm guessing a 1.32 a/r exhaust turbine housing? No back pressure there. Are you going to be power braking it to spool up the turbo at the track?

For the track and a 392 stroker, yes. Mild 5.7, might be too big on the exhaust turbine side.

Have called around and talked to several turbo shops about the S475/96/1.32 Borg Warner turbo. Most of them have recommended the smaller turbine side for the street and track use for my 392. But, we haven't even had enough people trying out the S475/96/1.32 to see how it will work on a 5.7 Hemi. The S475/96/1.32 is a low back pressure turbo too. So, it's hard to say... Might need some nos to spool it up on a 5.7?

I run a On3 78/75 turbo on my 03 348 engine. I know it's a cheap chines turbo but, it hauls ass. It spools up quick. Even from an idle. Listen to the turbo whistle sound on my vid. From idle to boosting up was quick. And that was with the a very lite spring in the bov. The bov would stay open at idle venting any pressure from the On3 78/75 turbo. It's a fun turbo on the street too.

Yay! More turbo guys! I’ve had my 2015 turboed for over a year now and my 2009 is still on the road turboed as well. Both are running a 78mm turbo with a 1.11 AR

What's the turbine wheel size on that 78mm turbo? Is it still the GT45 turbo?
