Default Great news for the 545 transmission!!!!!

Here at our shop, we have the nastiest supercharrged AWD GMC Syclone pickup along with nastiest 4x4 Ram. Both eats transmissions for kicks and both will not except a 4L80 swap since there's no room for a 4L80 in the Syclone and it would cost me a small fortune to replace and mod my front drive differential.

So...Here come's Sonnax to the rescue. Gregg Nader himself, a Guinness with transmissions and the director of Sonnax High Performance, flew out and spent the better part of last week helping us solve our issues. As most of you know, Sonnax is world known in the transmission business and the same company that makes the line pressure booster that some of us run to increase transmission line pressures on the 545.

First off, he help us re-build and blueprint a 4L60 for the Syclone, which btw will be called the Superstreet Performance 4L65E Plus, but you'll just have to wait a tinge before I can release any info for my 545 build. Trust me, it'll be worth the wait. And the bright side is, is that any reputable transmission shop will have access to these parts once they're released.

Good enough to handle going into 4th or a WOT downshift? That would be nice.

My 1st thought was that dodge was discontinuing the 545 for something better lol. Exciting that it'll be able to stand up to your truck

And now its time for the aftermarket companies to fix the issues that Dodge didn't want to tackle in their production lines.

They did. I test drove one and that was the end of my '03 truck.
