I will look at this race like this. This is just from what I know about the 09's. The kn drop in is damn close to the intake on that 07. Next the 09's have exhaust manifolds very simalr to shorty headers vs the long tubes on the 07. Also the 07 has 4.56's not 3.55's which put this roll race in the 09's favor. Plus the fact it starts out with 45 mor hp. Just my take on this race. I think if this was a dig race it would have started with the 07 out front and the 09 playing catch up or a lil more equal. I'm not sure what model that 09 is but just for ref, I've seen an article where the stock 09 r/t busts mid to low 14's.

p.s. I stayed at a holiday inn last night

....let's not forget that the 09's have a 4-link rear suspension....

Thats my 07 in the video. We went to the 1/4th mile track that day but they were closed. Kinda sucked was 3 Hemis and one was pulling a trailer with two Yamahas on it. Wasted a bunch of gas to find out they were closed. We were going maybe 50 or less if memory serves me right. I ran it till i hit hit third then let off the gas a second later. Wasn't catching him and didnt want a ticket. I shifted down into 2nd prime since I just floored it. He used his little gear selcector thing and went down to 2nd then up shifted to 2nd prime then he let off. You can see at first he takes off fast then I down shift and stay with him a little better but his is still alot faster, then I let off then he continues to accelerate. We ended up going to a 1/8th mile track that day. I ran a 9.8 I think, not sure. The people didnt see my number correctly and the ticket guy was getting everyones times mixed up. The 09 ran a 10.08 or so. We had just goten there and didnt turn off our trucks so they were hot. The weathe out was also around 90 degrees and high humidity. In good weather His truck could probably rund around 9.6 or so in the 1/8th and even faster than a 3rd gen in the 1/4th due to all top end they have. Im saying this considering I would run 9.4s in 80 degree weather low humidity before headers.
