milling the carrier pin

Has anyone here changed their own gears out?
If so, did their install kits come with a milled carrier pin? My motive set did not and I am having to take mine to a machine shop to get it done and I guess I will have to buy a different one for the 3.92s if I decide to go back?
Any thoughts?

done, gears are in (back only) will handle the front next week......

Glad you got'er done. I milled my pin with a bench grinder. Worked great.

I just had a set installed. Had the same problem... Also the front carrier was a mess to shim. I dont race, just cruz and IMO the 4.56 are not enough. Hell, my '68 vett had 5.88, now that was some serious fun round town!
