Went and played in the mud last night and got a little carried away I guess. Snapped my cv-shafts to bits.. :peelout: Gotta pay to play I suppose.. Does anyone make some beefy cv-shafts?

KORE Racing makes some upgraded CV knuckles. We have yet to install on Jerry's truck.
I don't know how much they cost?

That sucks. I did that when I first got my truck. The only good part is you can pull the shaft and run it around still while you wait for another
That blows, but now you can do low range burnouts!

I was in a pond 3' deep with a hard bottom and then it dropped into a 4' hole with a gooey bottom so I gunned it and at some point in doing so it popped.
I was thinking of trying to drive it in 2LO on the street, i've got 38's with 3.92's for now. 7.84:1? haha

I was at the south end of LG off of Rt. 149 at my friends logging trails / beaver ponds. I know of a few places around here to sling a little mud.
I'll post some pics in a bit. My tires weren't turned, I twisted the shaft out of the inner cup. Not used to wheeling with the 268 and at about 3500 rpms it just reved out and I wasn't expecting it.
I stopped by the campground on Sunday, but I really didn't know what I was looking for.. haha

Few shots of the Shaft (haven't cleaned all the grease out yet), some shots of the angle, a bad shot of the rig and also a shot of the new mud project. (Jeep YJ, 2.5 ton rockwells and 48" tractor tires.. :finger2: )

After looking at your gallery, I remember spotting your truck today. I took the girl down to shop for a truck, she wants me to build her one just like mine. Found a nice '06 for her, have to see what the bank says!

your angle on your CV shaft seems pretty extreme

I was gonna say that to, I don't think a stronger shaft will help because it looks like it just pulled out of the cup.

I thought it was a harsh angle too, but wanted opinions. As much as I don't want to, I think i'm gonna bring the front down 1"-2". (Anyone wanna buy a mostly stock-ish'04 Ram..?) :finger2:
