You are actually asking the right question.
Most of the time people say pull so many degrees per 50 hp shot, but ignore what sort of timing advance they are pulling those degrees from in the first place.
Think 23-24 deg advanced is fairly normal so 20 would be pulling 3 -4 degrees timing.
Have you logged to see if you have any spark retard with that setting?
With the 125 shot i wouldnt even bother pulling timing just get you some good gas and have some fun. When i put my 175 shot in this spring im still going to run stock timing but am going to bump up from 112octane to 116.
Generally it is 2* of timing for every 50 shot but that is just to play it safe and with the pills they recommend for you which always keeps you rich as hell. My advice get on a dyno and bring all your pills. get ya some racing gas that you will always have available for when you go to the track and tune those pill down to get you in a good a/f.

Yah - I was gonna just put a small cell in the bed for race fuel but I still haul crap from time to time, still my daily driver. I also want the flexability of hitting the joy button when I want so need a non race only approach.
