DAYTONA81-Times from 3-10-10

Went to a wednesday nite T&T, first ever at local track, total of 5 cars/trucks were there! Made 7 runs and went home. Sole purpose was to train on new led lites! Now we have same lites as Dallas area.

New tires and going for the lites, times are not very great. Kept tire pressure at 35lbs all nite.

i actually prefer the LEDs, but making that transition is pretty difficult... make you feel slow lol

once you get used to them you'll like them too, ive got to where i launch when the second yellow fades off, usually stay in the .05-.07 range

To me, the led's seem faster, it is because they are brighter. I'll git used to them! When I was going to Dallas area , I was usually slow, or got a red lite.

Well they light up fully quicker, I remember somewhere that the LED tree is like .006 faster than the old style. That'll definitely throw you off on something like that...

I'd like to start bracket racing later this year. Guess I should start practicing at the tree lol

I feel slower in 60ft, about right in 330, and for the et, that is hard to say, maybe slower! I will go more by 330 than most people in how I am doing.

I will know more tonite(friday), T&T, maybe have a street race, and Race for money with the big boy's Saturday! Street race is in with T&T at strip, not on street!

Tonite I will be hard on tire pressure and lites again. I will post up again.


Randy, sorry, but I cain't make Ennis Sunday unless I win money Saturday! Gas is too high and I am broke!

With the old lights I could see it come on, see full on, and see it fade off. So I was seeing 3 stages to each light.

Now with the LED's I only see it on. maybe it's my age,,,,, LOL
