What is a safe shot on a stock motor?

I haven't run any gas, but my research has come up with 100-125. others will be sure to chime in.
Do you have to retard the timing for that amount?

I don't think it's manditory, but you should run a stage colder plug. Where are these other guys to chime in? lol (I feel like i'm on DT, just repeating things i've read)

Mike, if you really want to be safe here's a few things to do:
1. Pull 2 degrees of timing for every 50hp
2. Get at least one step colder plugs and gap them between .035-.037
3. Last get a wideband so you know just how safe your running when you spray
not all these things are mandatory, but they're the best way to stay safe. Things can go sour quick with spray so it doesn't hurt to be safe. At the very least I recommend you pull some timing and close the gap on the plugs you already have
ngk 4306 plugs
i cant remember what i gap my plugs at.
You are suppose to pull 2* timing for every 50hp shot (i run a 150 shot with stock timing) Running some high octane fuel or racing fuel if you can come by it easily
A wideband is a def add on so you dont go boooooom.

Hmmm I have always been scared of juice  I wouldnt mind a 75 shot out of the hole though as long as It will grab traction, Im realy hoping that with boost and water/meth or spray I will not have to worry about the hot summer days too much and racing.
Whats there to be scared of?? If you have done it right and taken all precautions you should be on your way. A 75 shot in my eyes is useless. If I can afford to buy a stroker this year i will be doing a 300 shot forsure.

a 75 shot with a blower makes a lot more than 75hp... theres a guy i hang out with whos got a built 2V GT mustang with a procharger and some spray... car made 446hp/434tq on the blower and 550hp/595tq on a 50 shot.. blowers like spray A LOT, and most of the kits rate HP according to an N/A engine
but like kfed said, if done right nitrous is no more dangerous than any other forced induction
When you say pull two degrees for each 50. That is from stock or from what I am running now? I guess the cheesey tune from the 93 octane superchips tune adds a few degrees right?
