Well i am ready to put on the intake. I picked it up and it had a bunch of water, oil, and fuel in it still. I dumped it all out and let it dry for a day or so. Will this morning I picked it up and heard something rattling around it it. I proceed to turn it around in all angles and shake it and about fifty parts of the piston start falling out. I have an extra intake off of an 05 to use. I take the foam back off of the 03 to put one the 05 and realize that the two intakes are different on the bottom. So my questions are:
1 is will the 05 intake be OK on the 03 motor? I'm guessing it will work just fine but would like some one to verify it will.
2 is that the foam from the 03 doesn't work on the 05. Is the foam needed? Is is to decrease heat transfer and or to dampen vibrations? Thanks in advance guys.
I am so close to being done I can taste it.

Mikie out!

you will need a egr block off plate if you use the 05 intake on your 03. Other then that they should work.

I actually used the 05 heads as well. So you have a picture to show so's that I know what and where? They looked identical on the top side of the intake. I blocked off the hole on the head already.

Everything on the those engines will be the same except you need the egr block off plate for the intake it's behind the throttle body.

Where do I find one of these block off plates? Or can I just make one?

I made one from an old egr valve. Just used the good ol rtv and stuck it on.
