2009/2010 Car manifold questions

Thinking about upgrading to the car manifold for looks purposes I hate the truck manifold with a passion, I have delted my A/C and my EGR will I have a problem with the front throttle body position, with my altenator? I like the fuel rails on the new manifolds too they look to be bigger which should help out with my superchager with my increased Dia fuel lines this will save me money on new fuel rails. heres a pic

I think you will have to move front accessories around just like installing a 6.1 intake.

I have no A/C compressr OR lines in the way just my alt is still stock location due to the superchager bracket Im concerned this may be in the way. I like the fuel rails on that manifold I think they will polish up nice too well I hope they will anyhow.

A little time sanding and trimming,then painting and that will look killer!

do you have the ports matched to 6.1 manifold cuz the new manifolds are matched to the 6.1 manifold

the 6.1 intake sits the TB lower than the regular intake.
port match or get some of the intake spacers from a vendor on lxforums.


but if anyone is interested ill prolly be selling my 08 lx intake, with injectors and fuel rail.

overall the intake itself doesnt sit higher, it just has the TB set up higher...how much higher...not sure...if you dont get the spacer...another $250...you will have to do some modding to the intake to get the ports to match up. there is a thread on that as well on the lxforums.

NO I do not thats why im going with a 07-08 manifold and they are cheaper, I dont want to do the adapter plates either.

You can get spacers BUT they are $250 and are billet I was just pming the other guy he has a 07 manifold which wouldnt need the spacers fits perfect BUT you would have to figure out something for your ALT and AC I hear the car manifold takes away a little low end BUT I hate the truck manifold I want it gone and I will just boost up whatever I lose :dance:

I want those fuel rails on that newer manifold too though, I could clean them up nicly and they seem to be alot better then the round type we have on the trucks.

True Im going through with it, I pmed you the link Not bad price on that one for sure and it has EGR block off installed.

why not get the eagle heads and intake? the new intakes flow very close to the 6.1's.

Cause with Eagle heads, his compression ratio's would be to high for the amount of boost he plans on running.

some day it will be around 15psi I went with the mopar performance single plane manifold as well.

It's not the pistons that are the issue it's the fact that the Eagle head has a 64cc combustion chamber compared to the 84cc chamber of the earlier 5.7 head.

i think the 09 car intake makes more power past 5500 RPMs and how much would it cost me?
and is the braket needed the same as the 6.1 intalke braket

isn't dayton81 runnin them? i'll bet opened up though. The point I'm I trying to get across that I don't see if anyone is noticing, the 09 intake is about 2-300 bucks vs the 6.1 intake which is an arm and a leg.
