What do I need?

My new truck will be here for race season and Im not going to try and race it with stock tires,especially since they will probably be Goodyears.

So can anyone tell me a good tire that i can mount on my stock 17 aluminum rims,that will give me traction.
I have always raced with stock tires,maybe thats why I have never seen anything better than a 2.2-60 foot.
It is a regular cab 2 wheel drive.3:92 gears.

are you using the 17s for street or strictly track? plans on lowering?

if for track only get some 26in mt drag radials. if for both track/street and your gonna lower it 285/60/17 proxes II. if you need something bigger for street, how tall do you need them?

Just track tire.
No lowering.

im not an expert but from all the reading. w/ 3.92s and a raised rev limit 26in should be good for you.

Just track tires? 275/40/17 mt radials or 295/45/17 mt radials

i think im going to go wih 28" tires i would go with 26" with 3.92s
