what do I need to do to drop my truck properly?

I have seen the threads of trashed driveshafts, so I wanna know how toavoid the problems.

If you drop it. you can't make a simple turn in 4x4 without hurting the front axles.

belltech drop leafs or a flip kit?

Flip kit retains factory ride and towing.

Drop leafs are stiffer and reduce load by 500 lbs

I just put a ground force kit on my 4x4 a couple weeks back. Back is a flip, front is new keys. I couldnt get my camber back to spec. but it's real close.

I have noticed a muffled "klunk" or solid sounding rattle since the install/alignment up front that comes and goes, havent found it yet. Everything is tight so wondering if it might be related to the new alignment of the shafts/couplers...? Just gotta get under it and nut/bolt everything I guess. Kinda weird that it comes and goes.

Do they both require the perches to be welded?

Drop leafs don't, you are just replacing stock arched leafs with flat ones.

I have had both and flip kits are the way to go IMO.

With the clunk really tighten down the upper control arms if they aren't super tight they clunk.

I had great luck with belltechs at the track along with some spindles and loosening up the torsion bars.

how far did you slack off those torsion bars?

so the "clunk" I was hearing was a defective shock - Summit Racing sent a replacement N/C since it was brand freaking new....
