Will the 2" Drop Spindles by McGaughy part# 44001 work on a 4x4? I saw on one site that they would, but couldn't find any other information on it.

If so, any pro's and con's about going this route vs playing with the torsion keys?

pretty sure dline uses those drop spindles. think I remember him saying they were crazy heavy, but that the ride was still good with them.

spedly cranked his torsion bars to lower his 4x4, just not sure of how low it actually got in relation to rear, or how it rode??

they should chime in soon enough.

they weight 28lbs a piece compared to 10-15lbs for the stock ones

I used the spindles too. They are heavy and you have to cut the crap out of your balljoint to run a 17" wheel with them. They do allow you to level the front out with a 4" rear drop though. Just cranking the bars down won't allow you to do that.

I took them off to try and get some weight off the front of the truck. For the track I played with the bars to try and get as much lift out of the front as I could since it didn't want to transfer any other way. It ended up working pretty well with the bars almost all the way down. I had great luck with that and a set of modified belltech leaves.

Good info! I have my 18" Boyd's I will be running, i'll shed a couple hundred pounds in lifts and tires so the 10lbs more won't really be an issue.

Think there will be any issues running 18x10 wheels with 305/45R18's? (open to suggestions here)

Yeah, I never weighed them, but they were pretty damn light compared to other rims i've played with. I'll weigh them when the time comes to switch out the tires. You wanna trade, Daytona? :-)
