Thinking about dropping the truck. Pro's or Con's? any performance gains or loss? My main question is what are you guys running at the track? 2/4? flip kit? shackles?
Thanks guys,
Danny

I have a 5/8 drop & its about right for me. I wont go any lower & any higher & theres to much fender space. You might see a tad on the 1/4 mile et gains b/c of less wind resistance but I wouldnt think it would be that much. The last time I went to the track a couple months ago I still had the 2/4 drop so idk how it will do w/ the 5/8. It feels the same on the street through if I do a wot run from a stop so I dont see it affecting my times that much.
The drop I have now is front:
2" drop spindles
2" drop springs w/ a half a loop cut out to make the spring a 3" drop spring
back:
rear flip kit
2" lowering shackles that gave me the 8" drop
nitro 2 drop shocks
I hope this info helps

Thanks That helps me get an idea. I went from the 20" wheels to the 17"s and the gap is huge.

UH HUH, what happened to 2/4 is low enough for me I wont go lower. Dont make me find that thread on dt lol. It happens. Like I said a 2/4 really isnt that low @ all. To me thats where the trucks should be stock.

To low is when you do loose your oil pan due to a raised man hole ;)
